Welcome to our classroom website! I'm so excited to be back at Brummer again for my 6th year, and I can't wait to see what this year brings.
South Lyon has been my home for many years. I grew up in South Lyon, and graduated from South Lyon Schools in 2002 before moving to Kalamazoo to attend Western Michigan University. I graduated from WMU in December 2006 with my bachelor's in Elementary Education, with minors in Early Childhood, Math and Science, and Integrated Creative Arts. I attended Western Michigan University again, this time earning my master's degree in educational technology in December of 2016.
Within months of graduation, I accepted a teaching position in North Carolina, and moved down there to teach for 5 years. In 2012 I was beyond excited to receive (and of course accepted) a teaching position with South Lyon to be near my family. I'm very excited to be apart of SLCS again!
My family means the world to me! I have two wonderful parents - my Dad, Bob, and my Mom, Gail. I'm blessed with two amazing siblings, my older sister Jessica (who looks like my twin) and my twin Kevin. I also have an amazingly beautiful niece, Gabrielle, and my devastatingly handsome nephew, Braden in my life (who the students will tell you are my entire world, and will come home with LOTS of stories I'm sure!)
